Medina Kasimova, known professionally as Medina, is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans oil painting, sculpture, stained glass, mosaics and digital media. Her work considers resilience, vulnerability and renewal through layered surfaces, colour and the transformation of materials.
In her paintings, accumulated pigments create luminous surfaces, while her mosaics bring fragments together into new compositions. She extends these ideas into digital installations and metaverse projects, connecting physical artworks with moving images and public space.
Medina held a solo exhibition at the Multimedia Art Museum in Moscow in 2018. Subsequent presentations include digital installations in Baku during COP29 and in Times Square in 2024, alongside projects in Miami and Hong Kong. Her 2025 exhibition From Canvas to Code took place in the FATVillage Metaverse.
As the official artist for .ART Registry, she supports initiatives exploring the restorative potential of art. Her digital work Flowers for Mothers (2026), first presented at the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum, translates a recurring floral motif into motion.
