8. OPTIONAL BRAND SELECTION OPPORTUNITY
In addition to the curatorial selection, applicants may choose to have their submitted works considered by participating brands.
A brand may independently select an artwork for a presentation that jointly promotes the artist’s work and the brand’s company.
An artist selected by a brand will participate in the New York 2026 exhibition even if not selected by the Curatorial Committee.
Only submissions accompanied by the specific optional brand consent will be presented to potential brand partners for this opportunity.
By providing this consent, the applicant authorizes Disiva to present the submitted artworks and related artist/gallery materials to potential participating brands. If selected by a brand, the applicant authorizes the presentation of the selected work in the exhibition and related communications promoting both the artwork/artist and the brand, with appropriate artist/gallery credits.
If a brand selects an artwork, the brand will cover the full cost of the promotional service for that artwork. This cost will not be charged to the artist or gallery and is separate from the application fee.
Applicants who already have an agreement with a brand to participate in the exhibition together may provide the brand’s name, website, and email in the optional fields of the application form. This refers to an existing agreement under which the brand sponsors or pays for the joint promotion of the artwork and its business. Providing these details does not replace the separate optional brand consent.
This opportunity:
-
Is independent of the Curatorial Committee’s selection
-
Does not guarantee selection by a brand
-
Does not affect curatorial evaluation if the applicant declines
-
Does not involve an additional exhibition participation fee if selected
Any commercial use beyond the exhibition and related promotion, including adaptations or additional licensing arrangements concerning duration, media, territory, or compensation, requires a separate written agreement with the artist or rights holder.
9. DEADLINES
Final Application Deadline: 13 November 2026
Exhibition: 16–18 December 2026
Location: 5 Times Square, New York City
The official announcement date of selected projects will be communicated separately.
10. COPYRIGHT AND AUTHORIZATION FOR PROMOTIONAL USE
Artists retain ownership and copyright in their works.
By submitting an application, the artist grants Disiva a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to reproduce, publish, display, distribute, and use the submitted artworks, images, and related application materials for application evaluation, exhibition, documentation, communication, and promotional activities concerning Disiva and the project, whether or not the application is selected.
This authorization also permits Disiva’s partners, sponsors, participating companies, collaborating organizations, and institutions involved in the project to use these materials through their own communication channels to promote the project, their participation in it, and their collaboration with Disiva.
Permitted uses include digital billboards, websites, social media, newsletters, press materials, presentations, and printed or digital promotional materials, before, during, and after the exhibition, with appropriate artist/gallery credits wherever reasonably practicable. Technical adjustments required for formatting and display are permitted, provided they respect the integrity of the artwork.
Applicants confirm that they hold the rights and permissions necessary to grant this license for all submitted materials. Galleries submitting applications on behalf of artists must obtain the corresponding authorization from the artists or rights holders.
The optional brand selection and joint promotional presentation described in Section 8 remain subject to the separate consent specified in that section. Uses unrelated to the purposes authorized above, including merchandise or independent product advertising, require a separate written agreement with the artist or rights holder.
11. ACCEPTANCE
Submission of an application implies full acceptance of these Rules & Regulations.
Application fees cover application evaluation: Statements Standard €50 for 1 artwork, Statements Premium €70 for up to 3 artworks, and Kabinett €190 for up to 3 artists. Payment does not guarantee selection by the Curatorial Committee or by a participating brand. No additional exhibition participation fee applies if selected.
Acceptance of these Rules & Regulations does not constitute consent to the optional brand selection opportunity. That consent must be provided separately in the application form.
