Ariadna Canaan

She is a multidisciplinary artist who combines innovative art practices and cutting-edge technology with traditional tools and techniques.

Ariadna Canaan was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and has lived in different parts of the world, including Montreal, Canada; Giverny, France; and Miami, Florida, USA. She is an international multidisciplinary artist with degrees in Applied Arts, Fine Arts, Marketing, and Design from Altos de Chavón School of Design, affiliated with Parsons School of Design in New York.

From the beginning of her career, she developed as a visual artist until she decided to incorporate contemporary photography as a tool and form of expression in her artistic installations. She has completed diploma programs and numerous specialized workshops in art and design, including The Intelligent Eye and The Art of Collecting at Sotheby’s Institute; The AI Revolution: Art and Technology at Christie’s in New York; and Poetics of Light: Art and Technology in Latin America at MALBA, Museum of Latin American Art in Argentina.

Ariadna specializes in multimedia art installations and holds a Master’s degree in Contemporary Photography, Theory and Projects from PhotoEspaña, PHE21 Alumni, Madrid, Spain.

She has participated in important exhibitions in museums and galleries in Mexico, Venezuela, Cuba, the United States, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, and the Dominican Republic. She currently participates in international exhibitions as a multidisciplinary artist, incorporating digital art and technology into her practice. Ariadna is a recipient of the National Award for Visual Arts in her country of origin and has received other important awards and recognitions. Her work is part of significant art collections.
